Hibiscus
Hibiscus flowers are like pecan pie. I have never had a bad pecan pie, though I can’t count how many times I’ve heard people say, “This is really good pecan pie.” There are just some things that have all the right ingredients and Hibiscus is just one of those things.
The Hibiscus flower is so photogenic! Seriously, have you ever seen a bad photo of Hibiscus? They are just beautiful!! They have that, “Here I am! Look at me! Aren’t I beautiful?” kind of flowerona (flower version of the word “persona”) that just exudes confidence.

I, like I’m sure, many others, have taken numerous photos of Hibiscus in several locations around the world and they are some of my most beautiful captures. And although Hibiscus are native to warm, temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world, (think Hawaii) the photo you see as the featured image here, was taken in Minneapolis of all places! Contrast that with the ones below taken in LaJolla, California, Aruba, and Portugal. (I can’t believe I can actually say I have been to all of these beautiful places!)
Aruba
Apparently there are hundreds of species of Hibiscus including trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals.
